Terms of use for What Ships

What Ships is an independent, curated directory of startup launch videos that were already posted in public on X. These terms explain how you may use the catalog and what the directory does not claim.

What the catalog is

Each published page stores editorial metadata and a durable link to the original X post. In-site playback exists only to display a video you already chose to watch. The directory is not a live X search, a download CDN, or a ranking product.

Ownership and citation

Names, trademarks, and video content remain the property of their respective owners. When you cite a launch, name the product and company, link the whatships.com directory entry, and include the original X URL shown on that page. Source code lives at dingyi/whatships.com.

No paid placement

What Ships does not sell directory placement, affiliate rankings, or advertising slots. Drafts stay unpublished until a human reviews them. Submissions become public GitHub issues.
